Melissa Haro caught the attention of men everywhere when she appeared in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.




This dark-haired, green-eyed California girl represents a more exotic alternative to the Golden State's stereotypical blonde, blue-eyed beauty. Her thin-yet-lusciously curvaceous frame made her a perfect choice for Sports Illustrated, in which she showed off a lot more skin than her previous modeling gigs called for. As arousing as her bikini shoots from the Cayman Islands were, some of her Guess ads are just about as jaw-dropping as her SI spread. Melissa Haro has a rose tattoo in a secret spot somewhere on her beautiful body, as well as the unusual and very titillating talent of being able to tie cherry stems into a knot with her tongue. She refers to this ability as "kind of a flirty type of thing." We're getting hot just thinking about it.

Melissa Haro's not quite graduated to household name or supermodel status (yet), but following her rookie appearance in Sports Illustrated's 2008 Swimsuit Issue, her profile has been given a huge boost. Prior to being featured in SI, the former Miss Bay Area Teen was best known for her participation on the debut season of Project Runway (2004-'05). She also replaced Paris Hilton as the spokesmodel for Guess Jeans in 2005.

Unlike many up-and-coming models, she hasn't expressed any interest in pursuing an acting career some day. Given her age, she's got time to make the leap from appearing in print campaigns to becoming TV or movie eye candy, should she want to expand her horizons as such.

Melissa Haro considers her sexy SI spread to be the pinnacle of her career so far, and we're keeping our fingers crossed that we'll be seeing much more of her in future editions of the publication's annual bestseller.
